Berwyn Township will be open for appeals Monday, July 1^st through July 30^th 2019.

The process to appeal your property value will open July 1st; you will have until July 30th to file. We will be helping with appeals until July 29th.

You can appeal through our office until Monday, July 29th, my office will be CLOSED on July 4^th for Independence Day. Our office hours during appeals are as follows:

• Mondays – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Tuesdays – 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Thursday– 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Friday – 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

My office will work on appeals for lack of uniformity and overvaluation. I will be having two workshops on July 17^th and July 29^th. Please sign up at WWW.BERWYNASSESSOR.ORG to receive emails about more information on any workshops I will be having this month and for any other future workshops and appeals.

While you are in our office appealing, we will make sure you are receiving all the exemptions you are entitled to. We will also check if you are entitled to any refunds for prior years.

Please contact my office for an appointment to appeal your property assessment. Walk-ins are welcome, but keep in mind that appointments will be served first.

We are still doing our “Socks for our Servicemen” initiative. New socks donated will be taken to the annual Winter Standown held on the northside of Chicago.  I volunteered in my first Standown a few years ago and it left a great impression, especially as a son of a Vietnam Veteran.  Since, the first Standown in 1993, this 3-day event has provided medical services, housing opportunities, employment assistance, food, clothing, and a chance to rest and relax for our veterans.  This event is geared toward the hundreds of homeless veterans and veterans that need a helping hand.  So, when you stop by, please drop off a brand new pair of socks if you can, thank you in advance.
