Drive Thru Tax Appeal Event/Property Tax Zoom Event - Evento de Apelación de Impuestos a través del Coche/Evento de Zoom de Impuestos Sobre La Propiedad

Dear Residents,
In a continuing effort to provide safe, accessible service to all homeowners, my office will be having a "Drive Thru Tax Appeal" event this Saturday, November 6th and 13th (from 9:00 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m.), at the Berwyn Recreation Center, 6501 31 st Street, Berwyn, IL.

Appeals have not yet opened with Cook County Board of Review.  However, in anticipation of when it does, my office is now Pre-Filing Appeals for the Board of Review.  Attendees will complete their appeal forms in their vehicle. 

When you arrive, my staff will be available to answer any of your questions. Please bring your 2nd  Installment property tax bill or your Property Index Number (PIN).

The speakers, Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Larry R. Rogers, Jr., in partnership with me, Jacqueline Pereda, Township Supervisor David Avila, Senator Steven Landek and State Representative Lisa Hernandez, will discuss property tax assessments and the process of assessment appeals, via Zoom.

2020 SECOND INSTALLMENT PROPERTY TAX BILLS

REMINDER TAX BILLS ARE DUE OCTOBER 1, 2021

 

Dear Residents,

Please be advised that property tax bills are due October 1, 2021.

If your bill is not paid by October 1st any balance due on the Second Installment will be charged 1.5% interest per month.

To view your bill online, you may go to www.cookcountytreasurer.com and enter your PIN number.

 

If you have any questions regarding any missing exemptions, please contact our office at (708) 788-6600, to make an appointment to rectify them.

Por favor, tengan en cuenta que las facturas de impuestos sobre la propiedad se deben pagar el 1 de Octubre de 2021. Si su factura no esta pagada antes del 1 de Octubre, cualquier saldo adeudado en el segundo plazo será cargado con 1.5% de interés por mes. Para ver su factura en línea, pueden ir a www.cookcountytreasurer.com e introducir su número de PIN.

Please be advised that your 2020 Second Installment Cook County property tax bill has been posted online through the Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappa’s website at www.cookcountytreasurer.com. Property tax bills we be mailed out late August by the Cook County Treasurer. The tax bill will be due October 1, 2021.

If you are missing any exemptions, please contact our office at 708-788-6600, to rectify them.

Walk-In Vaccination sites

Cook County Health is pleased to now offer walk-in availability at its six large-scale vaccination sites. Individuals or groups who are interested in getting a vaccine can simply show up and register onsite. Walk-ins are also available for individuals who received their first dose at another location as long as they have their vaccine card with them.

The vaccine is free to everyone and no one will be asked about their immigration status.

For convenience, appointments can still be made at vaccine.cookcountyil.gov

COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Program

FEMA officially began accepting applications for their COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Program. To apply families must call: (844) 684-6333. FEMA will not be taking online applications. Families can receive up to $9,000 per burial. If an applicant is applying on behalf of multiple loved ones, $35,000 is the total amount they can receive.

Rental Assistance program

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle announced Thursday the launch of a $72.8 million rental and utility assistance program for suburban residents and landlords impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Applications will be available online starting Thursday, March 3rd and will close April 2.
